Important Update: Changes to the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP)

As we enjoy the beautiful autumn weather and cheer on the Toronto Blue Jays in their World Series run 👏, we wanted to share an important update regarding the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP).

What’s Changing

Health Canada has informed that the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) recently made corrections to some taxpayers’ adjusted family income calculations.
Because of these updates, some patients’ CDCP eligibility and co-payment levels have changed, effective Friday, October 24, 2025.

What This Means for You

Some CDCP patients may no longer be eligible for coverage.

Others may see changes to their co-payment levels moving forward.

What You Should Do

If you are enrolled in the CDCP, please check your current eligibility status. Affected individuals will receive direct notifications from the government through:

• Email
• Automated phone calls
• Mail
• Your My Service Canada Account

We strongly recommend verifying your CDCP status online or contacting CDCP directly before your next dental appointment.
